Adam Riemann and his mate Mark Portbury take on Europe’s backroads and mountain passes, pushing through remote terrain and border tension to chase a near-impossible goal: reaching Egypt by motorcycle.

With Syria off-limits, they find a way across the Mediterranean and venture into the aftermath of the 2013 Cairo massacre. Faced with armed patrols and civil unrest, they defy military blockades to stand beneath the ancient Pyramids of Giza. But the journey doesn’t end there. What follows is a high-risk push into one of the most lawless regions in the Middle East – the Sinai Peninsula – where fate leads them to one of the oldest and most sacred sites in religious history.
